Lets start by examining what you can expect from this experience.  Usually the practitioner will ask the client to lay down on a treatment couch or sit if this is preferred (fully clothed at all times), they will then ensure that the enviroment is relaxed through using some background music, light incense and soft lighting where necessary.   

The energy generally flows through the client to any part of their body that happens to need it most. If the client suffers with stomach problems for instance then the energy will usually go there first and move to the next ‘priority’ place when the correct amount of healing energy has entered the place of imbalance.

Reiki practitioners will usually use a series of hand positions covering all the clients main ‘chakra’ (energy centres) and therefore ensuring that energy is evenly distributed to all the bodies organs as well as the entire physical, emotional and spiritual bodies.

What can you expect to feel during a Reiki treatment?

Everyones experience will be different, so one person may find it a profoundly spiritual experience whereas another simply may feel a sense of relaxation and calmness. For others they will ‘feel’ the energy enter their body and can identify where it is at every stage. this may be because they feel a slight pressure, coolness, heat, tingling, or they just have an intention. Others may ‘see’ colours, have visions or re-play events in their lives which need healing. This will always be a gentle and healing experience and any emotion felt will be released at the time of the vision. In some cases there will be a variety of these feelings and sensations if not all of them.

On the other hand some will not see nor feel anything spectacular but may feel very calm, peaceful and relaxed. The experience is a personal one and should be enjoyed. Let yourself grow into the experience and you may be pleasantly surprised.

How long does a treatment last? 

A treatment will usually last 45-60 minutes. Longer treatments may be necessary initially and shorter treatments may be undertaken after the initial healing period but this will be discussed with you as and when appropriate. Children’s sessions generally last around 15 minutes although the consultation may take quite a while. In the case of small children I tend to send the healing distantly on a nightly basis for one week at a time then see them once a week or so to test for improvement.

How many treatments will you need?

This will depend largely on the  problems or issues faced, for more minor issues 1 or 2 sessions may be sufficient. However for more prolonged or significant conditions a series of treatments may be necessary. In these particular situations I would advise that treatments be assigned on a weekly basis for at least 4-6 sessions. Following this period we can then assess how you feel against how you felt before commencing the treatment. If any further treatments are required after this it is likely that we would move onto a fortnightly or monthly maintenance program.

A giving hour session with me will include chakra balancing for maximum effect.

Who Is Reiki For?

Firstly you do not need to hold or have any religious affiliations to enjoy the benefits of Reiki, but if you have Reiki does not interfere with any belief system and there is no dogma applied.

Reiki is suitable for people who are suffering pain, stress and tension, along with any deep seated emotional conditions……but in truth I believe that any one in any given situation can benefit from Reiki, it is true that some conditions because of their nature and progression may be beyond providing a cure or solution. However whatever the situation Reiki can provide some comfort, whether that be physical or spiritual.

There is a definite no to offering treatments where a pacemaker is fitted, so please be aware of this before booking an appointment.    

Appointments

Treatments are carried out in Sleaford, lincolnshire where the intial treatment and consultation will be carried out on a treatment couch. Treatment is applied through energy going through the body via a series of hand positions starting from the head and moving down the body. You are fully clothed, and covered by a blanket for your own comfort. Each hand position is either by the light resting of hands or the hands hovering slightly above the body.  Please note that there is no need for massage or manipulation with regards to the application of a Reiki treatment. 

For a initial treatment and consultation the cost is £25 and this will be a minimum of 1 hour, subsequent treatments will be offered at £20. We will discuss your relative needs following your first initial treatment.

What are Reiki distance healing treatments?

As the universe knows no boundaries of place or time Reiki energy can be sent distantly to clients who are unable to attend for hands on healing sessions. This happens by the client settling themselves comfortably and opening themselves up to receive the energy, this can be as simply as the client stating that they are ready to receive the energies, while the practitioner meditates and asks the energy to heal that person for there highest good.
